Along with several mandatory documents that need to be submitted during the adoption procedure, a medical report is also one of the requirements that adoptive parents need to fulfill before they officially qualify as parents of the child. The adoption agency will give you a detailed list of the medical tests that both parents must undergo. These are general tests to ascertain that you have no major complications as also to record your past illnesses, if any, with the agency.
Here's brief information about the various tests and examinations that you may have to undergo as per the adoption procedure.
Laboratory tests

You may also have to submit a brief medical history which will have information about:

- Significant family history (diabetes, hearth disease, hereditary or congenital defects)
And of course, your health documents and reports must be supported by a fitness certificate certified by a qualified medical practitioner declaring both adoptive parents as fit and fine, with no genetic disorders or other complications - past or otherwise.
